Keeping Pest Friends Under Control

Keeping Pest Friends Under Control

They say no man is an island. Well, that explains why there are people we commonly call ‘friends’. In this lifetime, the average person encounters at the minimum three types of friends: pests, guests and bests.

Being a considerably average person, I have my proportion of the ‘est’ friends. Interestingly enough, most of my friends easily fall into the first category: the pests. The said individuals aren’t called pests for nothing. They are every bit like the creepy crawlers – roaches, bugs, ants and rodents – that call for unfailing pest control sets in Vancouver. Like rather unavoidable pests you find in your home, these people are generally unavoidable as you meet them at work, in school and other organizations you might be part of. You get to know them not by choice, but instead, by circumstance.

If you ask me, these bothersome friends should be the least of your problems. If there’s effective pest control in Vancouver to keep household pests under control, then there’s also pest control in Surrey to keep pest friends away.

Proper Storage is meaningful

At home you have to keep food and drinks in properly covered containers to prevent ants and roaches from feasting on the said items. The same rule of ‘storing’ your food properly should be followed when out with pest friends. You wouldn’t believe how many good meals I’ve lost to voracious office mates who couldn’t keep their forks to themselves whenever I bring out my packed lunch. It wasn’t ’til late that I figured the trick is to tell the hungry pack you have some hard-to-pronounce disease, say, fibromyalgia, and it’s contagious.

Block the Points of Entry

Household insects have particular points of entry and once you find these, you treat the paths with insecticides and the like. Pest friends are no different for they also have some sort of entry points. Okay, so you can’t avoid a pesky gossiper of an officemate. The least you can do is block her on Facebook, Twitter and BBM if you can’t totally ignore her in the workplace. at the minimum she doesn’t have access to your personal life.

Move Away

Notice how the furniture pieces near walls always seem to have a roach sanctuary underneath? The technique here is moving the pieces away and spraying insecticide. Apply the same technique on your pest friends – move away from them. Simply keep them off your radar. Toodles!
